What is an intellectual capital insurance policy? Well it is a strong base of knowledge workers and constant training to keep up with new innovative technologies. As people live longer and healthier lives they will be working longer too, well into their late 70s or 80s and the job skills and knowledge base of yester year will simply not be sufficient. Also consider that technology is moving somewhat faster now and will continue to accelerate.

I like that William Sheridan's phrase because it does speak to the future and the wave of demographic change. And that wave if not controlled and prepared for will be a Tsunami of unbelievable force.

Today we are watching Japan go through this demographic change and challenge with their economy and Europe will be next, still the US and Canada are after that and it will take everything we have to keep it going.

Hopefully longer life spans and healthy people along with better training; perhaps in the VR realms will help can solve these challenges ahead. Although to do this it will take better systems, bandwidth and most of all dedication to see the project through. This means we need to now prepare for that inevitable future.
