Presidential Debate in 2008 - Spot Deception and Deceit Reading Body Language
In the United States we take the presidential elections very seriously and we realize that voting is a part of our responsibility for living in such a great nation. Of course, we also know that many presidential candidates will tell us anything we want to hear in order to get our vote and to get elected. This often drives us nuts because we want to hear the truth and we want to know that we can trust our future presidents with such an important job.
Do you ever wish that you had a lie detector test that you could point at a candidate and know if they're telling the truth and not? Well, did you know that you can spot deception and deceit by reading body language? Here are a few tips that you can use to spot deception and deceit;
- If the candidate touches their face while making a statement or directly after a statement then there is a good chance that they do not believe what they just said.
- When a candidate hesitates to answer the question and asks that the question be repeated or asks; "what do you say?" Then there is a good chance he intends to tell you a lie or make up a story.
- When a candidate is trying to convince you of something that he himself does not believe, they tend to wave their hands around a lot.
During the upcoming presidential debates you should be on the lookout for candidates that are lying to you and believe me they do. While some people believe that all politicians lie to get elected, myself, I'd rather prefer someone who tells the truth and has integrity. You make the decision is your vote.
